Palm Beach is an exclusive getaway resort area just 50 minutes drive north of the city of Sydney Australia, and only 30 minutes by seaplane.

Long famous for it's unspoilt beauty, Palm Beach sits on a narrow peninsula bound on the east by sweeping beaches and the Pacific Ocean, and on the west by more beaches on the edge of Pittwater - a large lake area surrounded by native bushland and a favourite place for sailing.

Bordered by the endless horizon of the Pacific Ocean, the serene waters of Pittwater and flanked by Kuring-gai Chase National Park, the Barrenjoey Peninsula is wonderfully unique. The coastal element dominates the area with surfing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing just a few of the water sports visitors can enjoy. Bring your own equipment or hire it from one of the many private outlets. Why not indulge in a group or private lesson?

If you want to avoid the crowds, take a boat around Pittwater and you'll stumble upon stunning beaches accessible only from the water. Or hike through Kuring-gai Chase National Park and discover centuries old aboriginal art and an abundance of local flora and fauna.

The Palm Beach golf course is a short 4 minute stroll around the corner from your getaway beach house. Located on the foreshores of Pittwater, the golf course is open to the public. The club house has superb food and features spectacular water views.

For the food and wine connoisseur there dozens of cafes and restaurants dotting the Peninsula and offering all manner of cuisine. Local dining ranges from quiet cafes to bustling restaurants and five star establishments. Many offer dramatic coastal views.

There are many ways to get to Palm Beach. Car is obviously the most common and it takes about 45-60 minutes from the CBD. A Government bus service runs seven days a week. If time is of the essence, there is also the option of seaplane from Rose Bay, Gosford, Cronulla or Port Stephens. Palm Beach is also accessible by ferry from the NSW Central Coast (trip 40 minutes approx.).

Palm Beach is the backdrop for the successful television program Home and Away. During series production the shows stars and film crew are a regular sight in the area.

One of the most prominent landmarks in the area is the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Situated on top of the headland, Palm Beach is without a doubt best appreciated from here. It is certainly worth the steep walk to the top to inhale the breathtaking beauty of the area.
